Dr Angus Robinson
Dr Angus Robinson was inspired into oncology with an early junior doctor post in St Bartholomew's Hospital, and later underwent his oncology training in Oxford and Edinburgh.
Before embarking on an oncology Consultant career, he worked for two years with VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) as one of the 3 oncologists in Kampala, Uganda. His specialist areas of interest in oncology are upper gastrointestinal and urological malignancies, working 4 days a week, whilst enjoying his young family on the 5th day.
Angus took over the position of SCRN Clinical Lead for Research from David Bloomfield officially in December 2008.
His role will be focused on providing the clinical leadership and the continued development of the Research Network in line with local and national priorities. Angus will be required to maintain and lead a clinical trials portfolio ensuring access to cancer clinical trials, and increasing accrual into trials across the network.
