Anal cancer

There are different types of anal cancer.  The anus is made up of different types of cells because it lies both inside and outside the body.  The types of anal cancer depend on the type of cell involved. The most common type of anal cancer is squamous cell.

Treatment for anal cancer is usually offered at the Sussex Cancer Centre in Brighton, and will involve Surgery and Radiotherapy.
